Great Video, Helps alot. Where can I purchase your clear storage box? I have searched everywhere and can’t locate it. Thanks!!
Your channel is great, I love it!
It’s also good to have betadine, activated charcoal, manuka honey and a basket muzzle.. Betadine cleans wounds, activated charcoal will help them a lot if they eat something toxic until you can get to the vet, manuka honey is good to put on wounds, and when dogs are hurt they can become aggressive so a muzzle is good. I recommend basket muzzles because they can still open their mouth, drink and pant. I don’t like raisins and I bought trail mix that had them in it, so I was picking them all out one night… I dropped a few on the ground without knowing, and my dog started vomiting a lot. I knew that raisins and grapes are HIGHLY toxic to dogs so I called my emergency vet to let them know I was on my way, they are about 45 minutes away. I was prepared for the situation and I had activated charcoal on hand since I watch a lot of vet TV shows, the vet told me to mix it up and give it to my dog. He vomited about 4 or 5 times on the way to the vet and when we got there they kept him for a few hours, gave him more charcoal and monitored him. Since he vomited so much and was getting better, they told us that it was safe to bring him back home. He is also a very large dog, poisonous things don’t harm larger dogs as much as smaller dogs. I’m so glad I had the charcoal on hand!
Thank you SO much for this! In my retirement, I’ve recently become an in-home Pet Nanny which I love!!💕🐶🐾This is exactly what I need-yay!!💕
what about a muzzel? for those accidents?
Can you keep these in the car in the hot & cold weather without things going bad?
Some of the things I keep in my pet first aid kit are some cloths (or a small towel) a few puppy pads, and some rubber gloves because sometimes emergencies can get messy.
I also have paw cleaner and paw balm in my kit just in case my dog steps in something nasty or toxic and I can just clean it off and paw balm is great for treating cracky toe beans.
You can always use empty, sanitized empty pill bottles for urine or fecal samples. I carried a stool sample in a ziplock sandwich bag from my new puppy to my vet. They were pleased.😂
Do you have a thermometer and lubricants?
The wrap bandage is self adhesive and does not need tape to keep closed.
Thank you! I have 2 pet first aid kits in case I would run into a lost pet who needs help and if a cat mom who’s sick and has kittens but I have stores in my area and they carry milk for cats. But thanks for making this video!
You’re a very smart dog mom and I really appreciate this video. We all should be prepared. Thanks for another fabulous video!
