DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. THEY KILLED MY DOG. My dog had cancer and we didn’t know it. I took her there for her yearly shots. Before giving her the shots they noted that she had a fever, while not even TRYING to figure out the reason and they just brushed off the topic. They should’ve proceeded to feel her lymph nodes after they noticed the fever, which they would’ve noticed they were swollen due to the cancer we didn’t know about. The shot states that it should only be given to a HEALTHY dog and in my opinion, a fever and swollen lymph nodes doesn’t indicate a healthy dog. So, they proceeded to give her a shot and she started acting strange. I took her to another vet office for a second opinion on the fever because they told me nothing at Banfield and they proceeded to do a blood test and tell me my dog had cancer and the shot caused the cancer to get worse in her system and there was no going back. Within a week her condition got worse and we had to put her to sleep. I know not giving her the shot wouldn’t have cured her cancer but the shot exacerbated it to the point where she was lethargic and anorexic and we had to put her down. The shot made her pass within a week in a horrible way and without it maybe we would’ve had her a little longer, because she was acting completely fine before the shot. I would give them no stars if I could. What a difference a THOROUGH EXAM would’ve made.
