Rachel, thank you so much for your informative videos. I feed my dogs The Farmer’s Dog.. was wondering about gullet sticks. What do you think about them?

  2. @micolo123 on October 3, 2024 at 9:35 pm

I like to give my dog a raw chicken leg or neck after dinner as a kind of toothpick/brush after dinner.

  3. @laurastage6470 on October 3, 2024 at 9:36 pm

My vet said no raw anything for my aussie

  5. @CodexPotter on October 3, 2024 at 9:39 pm

Lamb tracheas are my dogs favorite. I love that they get softer as she chews, lamb is gentle on her stomach and theyre just air dried so minimally processed

  6. @LibertyEducator on October 3, 2024 at 9:39 pm

Um if you feed your dog a raw diet and you are butchering a steer is that type of raw hide bad too?

  17. @GiGi117-lf6wy on October 3, 2024 at 9:51 pm

    Raw chicken bones are awesome.

  18. @Ricky-mo6mv on October 3, 2024 at 9:52 pm

Anything resembling a rawhide substitute should never be given to your pet. It can cause serious intestinal problems, and we all don’t want that to happen as a result of giving them a treat. My GF gave our Morkie a collagen rawhide alternative dog treat two days ago and we had to bring him to the vet for what turned out to be a pseudo obstruction. He was miserable, couldn’t eat, and was vomiting profusely. It was terrible.

$500 later and our vet was able to turn him around. It was Fieldcrest Farms Nothin’ To Hide Bagels Rawhide Alternative Beef Flavor Natural Chew Dog Treat. Stay away from this product and anything like it.

yak cheese gives loose stool, too.

  20. @Chequr_Prostate on October 3, 2024 at 9:54 pm

My lab was throwing up yak chews for 2 nights ( only one a night) they came up in chunks, some sharp. Hyde chews, nightmare.

  28. @feralhomunculus on October 3, 2024 at 10:05 pm

Chicken and turkey necks raw. My dogs love them, and they’re fully digestible. They help to keep their teeth clean, too. I would _never_ feed my dogs cooked bones, though.

Edit: When I had 6 medium to large dogs, I’d throw a whole raw turkey in the yard and let them take turns devouring it. They loved it! I fed raw for the 1st year and a half of my German Shorthair Pointer’s life. My dogs at the time were various ages, sizes and breeds. Not one of them ever had any issues with eating raw. It’s just a lot of work to do it correctly and I needed a dedicated separate meat freezer with that many dogs so I stopped.

Again, if you do decide to feed raw, there’s a lot more that goes into it than throwing them a raw chicken or turkey. They need various vitamins and minerals, etc. that come from different types of meats and added calcium (unless you can grind raw bones to powder.) Once you learn how to do it properly, it’s easier.

  29. @vaishali3355 on October 3, 2024 at 10:06 pm

Can you feed puppies dehydrated chicken feet

  30. @immerhashope on October 3, 2024 at 10:07 pm

IF you give them for 5 minutes, what’s the best way to safely store the leftover? Can you refreeze? If you can refreeze partially chewed feet, does it need to be finished in 2-3 days for safety like it does if refrigerated?

  31. @ltsjoeyy on October 3, 2024 at 10:07 pm

I gotta sign up to something to see your dog food list ? 😂 thought this was a good channel till then

  32. @Diana-xm1dm on October 3, 2024 at 10:08 pm

Life itself is a risk…we can be here today gone tomorrow. It’s better to trust God than put confidence in man.

  33. @mlean83 on October 3, 2024 at 10:09 pm

my dog died from raw hide chews in 2020…… i was devastated and have blamed myself for it after finding out I could have avoided the whole thing. i hate myself for it.

  34. @nikkoshay5403 on October 3, 2024 at 10:09 pm

You mentioned raw hide but what is your opinion on beef hide or goat hide chews?

  35. @dawnkeatley884 on October 3, 2024 at 10:11 pm

Hard for me as a vegetarian

  36. @snovia1 on October 3, 2024 at 10:12 pm

Will raw meat give them worms?

  37. @leeh9520 on October 3, 2024 at 10:14 pm

yak chews are too hard for a dog’s teeth ..they are not recommended by vets ….don’t take the risk

  38. @graceofthewoods on October 3, 2024 at 10:14 pm

Yak chews may not smell bad when they’re eating them, but the cheese farts 👃💀😂

  39. @ProudAmerican10 on October 3, 2024 at 10:15 pm

Elk antlers are probably the best thing you could give your dog to chew and keep his teeth clean you’ll never ever ever have to bring him to the vet to have his teeth cleaned or his teeth polled start out with split antlers so the marrow is showing and then go to a full Adler or should I say a full length piece that is not split your dogs teeth will be as white as a sheet of paper no smell no mess and very good for the dog

  40. @samanthawoolsey4027 on October 3, 2024 at 10:17 pm

How do I know what’s the best chew for my dog??

  41. @evasby4086 on October 3, 2024 at 10:18 pm

How often should you give your dogs treats like bully sticks or yak chews?

  42. @stephaniearriaga2378 on October 3, 2024 at 10:18 pm

@rachelFusaro can u do a videos about puppy treats I can buy at petco or target?

  43. @gailmckay5551 on October 3, 2024 at 10:22 pm

The yak chew I got chipped off in sharp shards, threw it away.

  44. @April3Hung on October 3, 2024 at 10:23 pm

My dog just went through surgery because the yak chew broke off and she swallowed a huge chunk of it. DO NOT LET YOUR DOG CHEW ON YAK CHEWS WITHOUT SUPERVISION.

  45. @jfresh2054 on October 3, 2024 at 10:26 pm

What other brands do you recommend?
    Redbarn? Barkworthies? Best bully sticks?

  46. @bryanb.386 on October 3, 2024 at 10:28 pm

Tried chicken bones, but my pooch devoured it with little chewing. Gave her issues for a week.

  47. @mcconicokeelross63 on October 3, 2024 at 10:29 pm

Question: Can you do a video going to popular pet stores and going over good quality chew bones and ones to notice to stay away from (pet stores like pet smart, petco, petsmart, etc). I go to these stores and want start getting into raw food and feeding bones but don’t know what I should be looking at

  48. @michelleperez1824 on October 3, 2024 at 10:29 pm

Do you like the native pet ones ?

  49. @canisamator7937 on October 3, 2024 at 10:33 pm

M vet said no yak chews due to how hard they are and the potential for cracking teeth.

  50. @dianneboomer7873 on October 3, 2024 at 10:34 pm

I bought my dog a No-Hide chew, THEN found out they DO contain rawhide! I worried for 2 days because my dog wouldn’t poop. He’d never done that before! I pictured him being rushed to the ER and torn open to remove this “thing”. DO NOT buy these! There’s been a lawsuit open for 4 years against these things! The woman who brought the lawsuit had LABORATORY EVIDENCE there was rawhide in it, but the courts did NOTHING!
Also, “Bento” refillable toys: they cause Shih Tzus to get diarrhea, and it takes DAYS for it to subside! No more for us!
