I would like your opinion on my raw diet mix I use for my 8 year old Bearded collie with a hint of mastiff so he is 90 pounds instead of 60. He has been on this diet since 6 months old and now at 8 years of age he is as lively and bouncy and STRONG as 2 year old. I grind up 120 pounds of chicken thighs and legs in my LEM big bite grinder including bones of course. I add 3% raw beef liver and 3% raw beef kidney and roughly 3% mixed beef and chicken hearts and necks. I also include 5% of a mixture of raw ground up carrots and broccoli. I am trying to mimic what a wolf in the wild would be eating when he makes a kill. I also add one capsule of pharmaceutical grade Omega (lovaza) and one multivitamin (no iron) and one tablet of Glusocamine Chondroitin now that he is a senior. I give him 22 ounces of that mixed with 10 ounces of raw ground beef 80/20 every night. WE make about 35 four pound bags and freeze them in a large freezer and they last my dog 3 to 4 months. As you said it comes out about the same as a high grade kibble and there is no comparison as to how much better it is for the dog. Kibble is poison.

  2. @originalyummer on October 3, 2024 at 9:40 pm

Do you grind up bones and all?

  3. @SSBIGBANGERS on October 3, 2024 at 9:42 pm

The only way a Rottweiler will last to longer age is pure carnivore!

  4. @sharondelrio4592 on October 3, 2024 at 9:42 pm

Hi Kerry, I started my dogs on Carnivore they are doing great. I wanted to share some information. I saw an interview Dr. Baker had with Dr. Ian Billinghurst he’s a raw food Veterinarian retired. He said organs need to be included in a dog’s raw diet he even says vegetables are important too to protect against cancer. He explains why I raise an eyebrow when he said it but it made sense once he explained it. Thanks for all you do.

  5. @beckyd.236 on October 3, 2024 at 9:42 pm

Did you put the chicken bones in that grinder?

  6. @Candy-o1z on October 3, 2024 at 9:42 pm

You have no idea what you’re doing…dogs need specific nutrients to thrive…high protein will destroy their organs and shorten their lifespan …please stop spreading your idiotic bullshit.

  7. @drcdrdoct9864 on October 3, 2024 at 9:44 pm

We make our own even to the point of raising rabbits for it. I actually grind those same brand leg quarters. We see how great people respond to Keto diets and yet stuff our pets with grain and expect them to maintain diet. Ugh. My cats and dog are excelling on a carnivore diet and there is less poop waste.

  8. @teresaschihuahuas on October 3, 2024 at 9:44 pm

Are you feeding them raw? Cause u had a breast in the oven.

  9. @mattrogers8031 on October 3, 2024 at 9:46 pm

What about organ meat? Muscle meat? You can’t just serve chicken wings. That is not a whole raw meal for a dog.

  10. @jonpos4671 on October 3, 2024 at 9:46 pm

Are you grinding chicken? With bones? Thanks for the video!

  11. @Rickky007 on October 3, 2024 at 9:47 pm

I feed my little Shih Tzu beef liver , eggs & when I eat steak or chicken he gets that as well.

  12. @Mrs.WarmWaffle on October 3, 2024 at 9:48 pm

Good to hear that you’re going carnivore for your dogs and cats!
I have 5 Maltese and they have been eating meat and organ meat since they were puppy. All of the dogs are senior dogs ( 8 yo to 14 yo) . My dogs eat mostly horse, lamb, fish and beef, but now we got whale meat and they LOVE it! I live in Norway btw that’s why I can buy such meat. My 12 yo was born with lip and cleft palate, and he got heart problems at the age of 10, but he’s still going strong. My two 14 yo females has no problems other than hearing and some grey eyes, but they behave just like an 8 yo dog.

  13. @crypton133 on October 3, 2024 at 9:50 pm

Awesome Video …Best thing you can do for your dog is stay far away from any Vet Reccomendations on pet nutrition because if you feed your dog a raw diet (well Balanced) that means very little reason to bring your dog to the vet. Just as an example I had a vet who reccomended plain purina dog food …. I no longer go to that vet

  14. @bigfish8280 on October 3, 2024 at 9:51 pm

I get what you’re saying. However, I have had many animals in my life that exceeded the supposed "life span" for their specific breed. All with store bought food (some other things mixed in) The thing that makes an animal live a long long life is LOVE, COMPANIONSHIP and ATTENTION.
It gives the animal a reason to live!
CONNECTION BETWEEN LIVING SOULS, NO MATTER WHAT SPECIES IS MORE IMPORTANT. I’m not saying that diet and overall health is not an important factor. Just giving you my experience with many many many many many animals

  15. @randyk2904 on October 3, 2024 at 9:54 pm

How’s Baxter doing on the carnivore way of life ?

  16. @karaleeann1211 on October 3, 2024 at 9:56 pm

You can do add ins too, like raw eggs, and chicken feet or pumpkin if stool too firm or soft etc. once you feed real food to your dog, you can’t go back, the great thing is there are so many options now for whole food diets, from pre ground PMR, Farmers dog, to dried raw foods like Sundays or Woof, you can make it as simple and cheap to as convenient as your budget will allow. Great video to get the word out Kerry. My dog had severe arthritis at only 6 eating kibble, I have gradually improved my pets diet, now they mainly eat PMR 80/10/10 muscle meat/bones/organs or just plain grassfed burgers from Costco, it is easier when you have a 12lb dog vs 120lb dog! Soooooo many people try to make it more complex, but anything you do to move away from kibble is a huge improvement. Progress not perfection! 👍💗👍

  17. @mbaxter22 on October 3, 2024 at 9:56 pm

I’m trying to transition my dogs to carnivore but there’s definitely some addicting ingredients in kibble, because mine will often choose kibble over, say, a raw chicken leg.

Do I just need to "starve" them (more like a 24-hr fast, big deal!), or am I doing something wrong?

  18. @RegenerateYourHealth on October 3, 2024 at 9:56 pm

I switched my 9 almost 10 yr old malamute to carnivore, as he was gaining weight and had bad joint pain.. 3 months on he went from 136.7 to 122.6. He has so much more energy and no more pain!!! I feed him raw burger and add some RX dog minerals to his food, he also gets a raw egg a few times a week and a high quality fish oil.

  19. @Recken1 on October 3, 2024 at 9:58 pm

my dog is 9months old and about a month ago started scratching and it’s gotten to point where I just feel terrible all the time.
I’m switching her today to carnivore. It has to be the food. My vet went on about "oh, studies show, blah, blah, blah"

I will never blindly listen to a doctor, in any field, ever again. I feel betrayed by the medical field.

  20. @brianthomas3451 on October 3, 2024 at 10:00 pm

This is 100% true. Dogs should only eat this diet

  21. @davidmcgregor4691 on October 3, 2024 at 10:00 pm

I eat carnivore myself, but am new to this for animals…….so the chicken for pets doesn’t need to be cooked due to bacteria etc? Sorry if a silly question?

  22. @AnneMB955 on October 3, 2024 at 10:02 pm

I’m back here after 5 months. Have seen so many dog food channels with veggies and carbs like rice. Even seen some that suggest supplements for their pooch food. Argh! Needed a reminder so I can make your recipe. The best out there. Thx so much Kerry. 👏🇦🇺🐕
Edit: My 17 yo cat is eating raw now and is jumping up on the kitchen bench, been a long time.

  23. @InChristAlone305 on October 3, 2024 at 10:06 pm

  26. @Pqddoapocalipse on October 3, 2024 at 10:10 pm

I started feeding raw meat to my dogs and they did great. The day i added fish they had diarrhea and changea in liver markers at the exams. Eliminaring fish fixed it

  27. @pmccord9 on October 3, 2024 at 10:12 pm

Kibble is poison! Meat cures! I also fast my dog for a day every so often (when I’m fasting😅). Autophagy!

  28. @JasSkynX on October 3, 2024 at 10:12 pm

How much do they need a day again? 2% ?

  29. @kathrynsieloff7811 on October 3, 2024 at 10:12 pm

Emma’s channel will not come up with the link

  30. @ArikHealthQuest on October 3, 2024 at 10:12 pm

why to grind it ? I found my dog prefer chunks of meat and can handle the wings as they are. He is only about 3-4 months old and already more than capable of that.

  31. @MrsFearEstate on October 3, 2024 at 10:13 pm

Wish I would have seen this video earlier. My 8.5 year old dog was so sick. We lost him 4 days ago. I feel if I had this information sooner, I could have saved him 😢 my dog looked like Baxter ❤️

  32. @MarkLheureux-wk5hw on October 3, 2024 at 10:13 pm

Bro your speaking language, how many pounds should I feed my 174 pound husky I’m on the fence about it he’s three years old

  33. @tumbleweed-pictures on October 3, 2024 at 10:13 pm

I don’t have a way to ground meat would ground beef work?

  34. @lolliisabusdriver.4447 on October 3, 2024 at 10:13 pm

Any updates on the dogs progress?
I started feeding raw about 4 years ago. On and off. Never stuck with it. Always knew it was best.

  35. @brandonmartin147 on October 3, 2024 at 10:14 pm

So you just grind the meat on the bones and they eat it raw? Just wondering i need to do this for my doggies

  36. @KelvinVierboom on October 3, 2024 at 10:18 pm

My dog has been on the carnivore journey with me and her energy has had a noticeable increase! We are three months in and don’t see ever going back!

  37. @candywoodgate1269 on October 3, 2024 at 10:23 pm

I have turned my granddog carnivore, I was dog sitting at my home while my daughter was having some landscaping done and began feeding her chicken wings, raw. I saw the improvements in her and also her poo was much better than those monster poos she used to do. I am so pleased that when my vegetarian daughter had her ack that she has continued to feed her this way.
Just got to get the rest of my family to eat the phd 🙄🙄.
Ken Berry had a great vet on his channel, btw. He said raw meat and bones. I love to hear Elsie- the dog- crunch those bones, her wonderful strong muscles in her head working and her teeth becoming stronger. The vet guy said it was preposterous that people needed to clean their dog’s teeth, raw meat and bone would keep their teeth healthy.
Love you Kerry, keep up the good work.

  38. @teresaschihuahuas on October 3, 2024 at 10:25 pm

Are you feeding them raw? Cause u had a breast in the oven.
I’m confused what is for you or your dogs?

  39. @715chopper on October 3, 2024 at 10:26 pm

You don’t grind the chicken bone correct?

  40. @horsebytes on October 3, 2024 at 10:27 pm

Did you grind up the chicken bones?

  41. @desmomotodesmomoto2033 on October 3, 2024 at 10:27 pm

Carbohydrates in processed dry pet fake foods are very bad for their teeth. I just read the ingredients in Pedigree Vitality and it has over 80 ingredients in it, from corn to artificial colors and stuff that I can not even read or know what they are.

  42. @pattyogden5788 on October 3, 2024 at 10:30 pm

I would love to see how you clean that grinder before purchasing one. Any chance of that?

  43. @teresaschihuahuas on October 3, 2024 at 10:31 pm

Can I get a pdf for this diet? I have a learning disability and I’m a little confused. ❤

  44. @suedavis7451 on October 3, 2024 at 10:31 pm

Absolutely my dogs have always been carnivore and they love past 18. Kibble is like eating bread everyday.

  45. @rbbuildsandleisure1470 on October 3, 2024 at 10:32 pm

I feed my own dogs raw 100%, my son bought a bull terrier bitch puppy which he has been feeding 100% raw since he got her, he is in a whatsapp group with the other owners, at 5 months she is the tallest heaviest dog in the litter, her coat shines and her digestive system works perfectly (unlike some of her littermates being fed commercial crap).

  46. @PrincessAloeVera on October 3, 2024 at 10:33 pm

Help! My neighbor’s dog has failing kidneys. Do you have any links to info/vids that specifically address kidney disease and feeding carnivore. This dog owner knows zero about carnivore for pets nor for humans. Also chicken is a very warming food (contraindicated for dogs with inflamed gut or any other chronic inflammation). And this dog has RED itchy skin so he needs COOLING meats, not chicken.

  47. @Candy-o1z on October 3, 2024 at 10:33 pm

And tell also get punctures in their intestines from the bones,…please remove this moronic video.

  48. @chazzwestlv on October 3, 2024 at 10:34 pm

Fresh raw chicken legs with bone, fresh raw chicken thighs with bone, fresh raw beef shank with 10-12 oz of beef on it and 6-10 oz raw fresh liver (beef and or chicken) —— no cooking needed, no advanced preparation- feed once a day – done – our dogs been eating like this for 5 years and thriving….works for us

  49. @oldmexicanwoman159 on October 3, 2024 at 10:38 pm

I’m not a animal nutritionist but I know that cats need more taurine so u might wanna add beef heart or chicken hearts to the cats food cause it’s higher in taurine. Check with ur vet or one of the lovely raw veterinarian nutritionists on you tube. Secreting organs too like liver, kidney but find out how much first. I don’t make my own, I have to buy it pre balanced because I’m just too busy. My dog and cat are only 11# each. If I get a big dog, I will certainly make my own. I will never go back to kibble. Not ever!

  50. @drseanpatrick696 on October 3, 2024 at 10:38 pm

I distrust any dog food kibble since shrinkflation and quality of absolutely everything going out the window. My dog now gets more meat than he use to. I buy the steak trimmings from the butcher every month when I stock up on beef. We both eat smoked beef liver, beef and farm eggs.
