I love this! Thank you Cesar for opening this topic! I have been making dog food for Eda, adopted 5 year old Swiss Shepherd, for two years. We mix up the experience but quinoa, steam broccoli, shredded chicken breast and sweet potato sprinkled with a little nutritional yeast and olive oil – a favorite in this household.. And one of her love treats? Chicken feet! What sweetness watching Eda patiently watch me just outside the kitchen (house rule) preparing her meal, listening to her smack her drooling mouth…. Love, love, love!
I have a 50 gallon drum filled with finished marrow bones from hardwick vt beef farm for my vermont mutt dog( they are the best lets be honest!) shes about 95 pounds and adores primal marrow bones from a good beef farm@! Its a delicacy in some countries those bones!
what kind of white or brown rice?
Yeah that’s for little dogs which you have. What about full size dogs like gsd❤❤❤
Just like human ins. The more animals that have med.ins. the prices of having med. Care done will go up and then those that can’t afford ins. Won’t be able to afford med work.

Hi Cesar, I’m from Singapore and my 11yo schnauzer is allergic to poultry and was wondering if you have other recommendations with Dr Marty’s quality, especially with the Big C that’s getting common. I had given him brown rice with minced beef with kibbles but he seems to put on weight very fast. He’s not into kibbles so he just inhale the rice and minced beef. Unlike most dogs, he’s not comfortable eating a full dental chew that is medium, unless i break it for him. What kind of fish it that and is it fried or dried? Do I have to worry about marrow bones that he might bite splinters that may lodge down his throat, and may crack his teeth? Many Thanks for reading my post, Cheers

We have a Chiopso Almost 8. And Shepradoodle Almost 4 month’s we have have our Chiopso since she was 8 month’s old. Our Shepradoodle since August 16th. How often do you give your dog’s the home-made food and food from doctor Marty.????

When I switched to cooking my dogs food our relationship totally changed. Tremendous difference! Bonded much more!
I give mine chicken feet for a treat. They are cheap and have glucosamine because of all the ligaments and cartilage in them
I only give my dog raw meat and carrots almost no treats maybe a little beef liver and bully sticks and he is super healthy
Forget the rice. Dogs are. pure carnivores. Rice is a carbohydrate. Dogs don’t eat carbohydrates.
Yes I have a Maltese dog that only eats fresh pet with Jiff sugar free peanut butter mixed for a hole year she ate that but now starting last week she stopped eating so now I’m trying everything wet and had no results she hates all of them so for 3 days straight she only ate fried chicken but last night she started vomiting up yellow puck if anyone has any suggestions on this matter I would appreciate it very much I love my dog like she’s my kid so it’s really hurting my ❤ ❤ that I dont know how to help her took her to vet but they just want to to put her on drugs there’s no way I want to do that so there’s got to a better way thankyou
Rice is bad for dogs. So is kibble.
I feed my dog Pedegree. But I think Dr. Marties might be better for her. If she starts lose interest in the pedegree I might feed her the Dr Marties.
Best food for dogs is beef with rice
Exactly what we do, but I have a problem with ‘bully stick’ type treats. My miniature poodle will not chew them, but swallows whole! I’ve stopped because it worried me see it literally poking as if it was about to butst out of the side of his little body. It’s about 3-4 days for it to subside 😯. Any suggestions welcome as he loves his ‘chews’ as I call them😊

Why do u cook the beef
Started feeding my 2 pit bulls Dr Marty’s essential wellness and when I heat up the water to put in their food the both sit and watch until the 3 min is up after adding the water to their food and they are both drooling in anticipation. They love this food and have never responded to any other food this way. They also seem more energetic and have noticed they no longer seem to pass any gas at all like they used to do all the time with other food. Price is expensive but their health seems better so it’s worth it!!

I got my kids a dog I wasn’t really happy about getting a dog because I have 3 kids and I take care of all there needs. So I will cook his food and feed him and now the dog goes every where I go sits next to me and I’m starting to care for the little pup
My puppy loves plain Greek yogurt not to much just enough to mix into the food, and she gets to clean the spoon. Is this bad?

Is it okay to feed beef, chicken, eggs, and rice to senior dogs? Our dog is 9 1/2 years old and healthy, but the veterinarian said never to give him any human food even though it does not have salt or seasonings. We used to give him beef and rice, eggs and rice, and chicken and rice in addition to his dry dog food.
Isn’t rice just carbohydrates? What value does it add?

Species appropriate diet is best. Try not to feed too many simple carbs as they can cause inflammation in a lot of dogs. We switched to raw meats and cooked vegetables for our Yorkie with pancreatitis and she’s doing amazing.
I wish I could give my dogs a walk but this TX heat takes them out within 5 minutes 😔

My Black lab has a blood cancer and was given a median time to live of 52 months and that was in 2015! He gets eggs, ground beef, ground chicken, chicken breast, bone broth, some hemp seeds, flax seed oil sometimes, chia seeds on occasion, sometimes I put tumeric in the food (I like to cycle things in moderation). He is happy and living life! He has bad hips but I massage him more than three times a day and I notice how much it has helped his mobility. He licks his lips and yawns during the massage and that’s a sign it feels really good 😊

Great idea about ground beef and rice and I love his philosophy. But WE live in Alaska where we catch lots of great SALMON. SO our dogs get salmon with each meal. It’s not the high class grade we eat. Sometimes it’s the cooked skins we remove when we can or the parts of salmon a lot of people discard. Our dogs are super healthy. We seldom vet them and our dogs live around 14 years. Oh. Lots of exercise too!!!

I have a 5 year old female boxer that is having trouble with pancreatic flair ups she’s been on kibble salmon and lamb can and now I’ve been cooking for her fresh fish and vegetables and she’s still having issues with acid reflux she’s on probiotic prebiotic enzymes and slippery elm I’m hoping in time the inflammation in her pancreas will go away ect. I’m not sure what else I should do . Anyone with feedback would be greatly appreciated ❤

We always thought Cesar Millan was a true dog lover. Now Cesar Malone has sold out to Dr Marty’s dog food. Everyone who has analyzed that dog food publicly says it’s trash. Just shows Money Talks values walks.

As far as sow content, I find value in every one i see and it helps emphasize things i may have slacked off on and gets me and Simba back on track.

My Nibblet refused food. He had the family feeding him cheeseburgers and fries and whatever he wanted. I watched as my Chiweenie got bigger and bigger, and not one person seemed to care that they were killing him with the food they were giving him to eat. I found
The Farmers Dog. I got the trial of 14 bags for the $24, and he ate it. Peas carrots beef chicken pork turkey fish, capers spinach,Brussel sprouts, and so much more . He’s lost a few pounds also. They give the ingredients on the back of the delivery papers also so I know exactly what he is eating and I can make the same thing myself which is what I’m going to do.
