I don’t trust the fda. Look what they did with the covid and everything else nothing but lies. How can I trust them to keep my pet safe? I will probably do the opposite of what they recommend because of my track record with them.

  2. @emalior5000 on October 3, 2024 at 9:32 pm

We should not be talking about what is the best brand of dog food, just like human nutrition doesn’t revolve around feeding a certain brand of food but instead macros, calories, ingredients etc.

So. Let’s say protein carbs fats. What type and how much of each is best?

We probably don’t need to feed any carbohydrates but just meat can get expensive so maybe we can include some cheap filler carbs.

Would raw mince beef mixed with basmati rice be a good diet? Would i need to add some vegetables and maybe a litte bit of low GI berries?

People stop talking about brands and start only talking about ingredients, macros and calories.

    Never trust the FDA

  4. @dianamcleodclausen8143 on October 3, 2024 at 9:36 pm

A couple of years ago my Bordenese( large breed 106 lbs) passed away from DCM..He was about 14 and a half years. He was on a grain free for years and doing well. I made food supplemented with Taurine, herbal, homeopathic the works. He had the prescribed meds. They made him weaker. We tried everything. The majority of food at all the pet stores contained the so called ingredients that were causing problems. All of my pets have crossed rainbow bridge. They were large breed 14, 15, 16 and 17 years. One had cancer, leukemia, epi and myelopathy. They lived long and happy lives always coming first in our family. I think that the industry needs to really do their research thoroughly before creating this situation. The vets out here are still saying the same thing. Do your homework and have a game plan.

  5. @paulpillow7641 on October 3, 2024 at 9:36 pm

They are consolidating control of all food, human and pet. It’s not hard to figure out why. If you were at all familiar with the world, economic forum, and the things Bill Gates has been up to lately, it should be no surprise what’s happening.

  6. @Madronaxyz on October 3, 2024 at 9:36 pm

Next time please interview of veterinarian that knows the research. This veterinarian was heavy on thought experiments and very light on actual research. She said, "I don’t know" too many times

  7. @Cembruh on October 3, 2024 at 9:39 pm

So grain free is fine, did know if I should change back to grain open farm salmon I’m on grain free now

  8. @Theanxiousdogmom on October 3, 2024 at 9:41 pm

I appreciate your video, it’s so nice hearing someone speak so opening about this. There are so many of us working in the pet industry who truly care about these dogs and it breaks our heart to be fighting this constantly. Hearing that our food hurt someone’s dog, when all we want to do is create the best, most affordable food for pet parents 😔

  9. @organiccleanfoodconnection on October 3, 2024 at 9:42 pm

I switched to no grain because of the chemicals in the grain. You can see on my channel my dog suffering for years from chemical spray drift. The farmers are constantly mixing the concoction of chemicals because the weeds are resilient. People and animal suffering tremendously. Being told it don’t drift And it’s safe. When the federal government just banned.Dicamba for this very reason. The farmers don’t care about warning, labels or their neighbors.

  10. @dougtilaran3496 on October 3, 2024 at 9:43 pm

If you don’t make your own food ? You’re in idiot. If you say it takes too much time. You should not be allowed to have a dog.If you leave a spot at DoggieDayCare…. you derve the death penalty.

  11. @PetitFlorals on October 3, 2024 at 9:43 pm

I love your information. Thank you for sharing these videos. I said to a vet one time that my dog’s digestive issues resolved when I fed him a raw/or semi raw diet of just human food meaning meat and other foods along with a dog probiotic. The vet said my dog was missing out on important things from dried pet food. I felt disgust hearing it because they he was not addressing the main problem = inflammation in the gut lining. Instead, he needed validation to hear that dog food from purina and other brands is the best thing for my dog. The proof is in the experience. If the dog cannot digest it = there’s something wrong with the food.

  12. @joanies6778 on October 3, 2024 at 9:44 pm

Karma will take care of those big bad players, sooner or later. Before I found any of these videos on pet health, I just switched my new foster pup off Purina Adult Complete, which is what he was fed in the pound. He wouldn’t eat half the time until I started putting moist toppers and/or chicken broth on his kibble. He had itching and dandruff, which is why I switched to Loyal Life Grain Free Salmon. He still itches some, but his coat looks fabulous, and now I’m adding a little raw goat milk daily, which has nature’s antihistamine, hoping that will help. (I am looking for an even better kibble to rotate to that has better processing methods.) Now many pets are getting sick from Purina, among other brands, so the switch was just in time.

People don’t realize if we are feeding non-organic grains in our dog’s diet, there’s a high risk of feeding him/her grains that were sprayed with herbicides, or that was grown in soil that retains those toxic sprays for years. I won’t eat non-organic corn or wheat, so why would I feed that to my fur baby? I can not afford organic kibble, nor organic raw food, so I opt for grain free kibble with select ingredients and add meat and seafood toppers for a percentage of his diet. Dogs don’t eat grains in nature… it’s a filler.

  13. @poncho1710 on October 3, 2024 at 9:45 pm

Sorry grain free not brain free lol

  14. @Saksfraud on October 3, 2024 at 9:45 pm

Hi what about iams is that a bad one anyone had any experience with that…

  15. @ozb10 on October 3, 2024 at 9:45 pm

    Orijen amazing grains good? I

  16. @BCBtrucks64 on October 3, 2024 at 9:46 pm

So what I take from literally 30 mins of research is that vets are pushing the nasty food so your dog ends up in the veterinarians clinic with illnesses that require money to treat , sounds like doctors pushing drugs to help big pharma ?

  17. @jeffie7648 on October 3, 2024 at 9:47 pm

Mars is absolutely shady behind the acquisition of Orijen. Right after the acquisition, they changed the ingredients by adding more "meals" instead of using fresh meat/fish.

  18. @biblebill6206 on October 3, 2024 at 9:48 pm

There was no dog food before a point in time like the 70’s dogs ate what the people ate and that included grains and dogs were way healthier back then reguarly lived into there 20 ‘s .

  19. @luisvelazquez3571 on October 3, 2024 at 9:48 pm

Yet Champion/Orijen released a grain inclusive formula and some will only recommend this version! 🤦🏾‍♂️

  20. @lizardfishmanbearpig1818 on October 3, 2024 at 9:51 pm

All of my dogs have been on Supreme source grain free salmon recipe for many years with great results. Wolves dont eat grains unless its small amounts of digested grains in their prey’s stomach. Don’t believe the lies! Grain free is what dogs evolved eating!

  21. @911_K9_Training on October 3, 2024 at 9:55 pm

Glad I watched a little more, I was about to go nuts thinking the DMV was supporting the FDA claim 😀

  22. @azraprinceza on October 3, 2024 at 9:55 pm

So my question is, is grain free food the best choice? I always get confused between the two. I’m still learning more about them too!

  23. @UNKLEnic on October 3, 2024 at 9:56 pm

I was feeding my dog grain free and he started having heart problems. I stopped and he he’s fine. He’s a puppy though.

  25. @candygarfield1479 on October 3, 2024 at 10:00 pm

So. Would Carbohydrates also make a dog CRAAAZY like ADHD?!
Sugars from the breakdown of carbs?
I Know my friends doggle, pit/lab mix is rnrrgetic snyway, but id swear theres some Whippet in her.
He got her from a client that kids grew and gone. A puppy when youngest kis was about 14. / 15, so the dog then spent most time crated, ( no more, she has a couch , )
He takes her everywhere, shecis 5/6 now.. its been 3 years with her. And SHE BOOKS!!! first time she was around, but 3 days running around tge areea. She got a chicken st a neighbors but im not sure if she was stunned by it or just got hungry, but i got her across the street from that house .
She too string for me to Walk, or bring to a park to run.. im hoping to get her "swomming" like his old doggle used to.
He sweats by purina, yellow bag, she likes it,, but WOW! She becomes the problem child. . so she is on a leash outside.
I got her a sound collar, with a key fob remote. he wouldnt use it.. ( two years later, is talking about it, because she goes for his daughters neighbors chickens. I think he said she "gets" them.
But when i dog sit, i feed her differently, 4/8 oz meat. 4beef,8 chicken.. ill give her some vegtables, a few berties some melon. On tip of a handful of the dogfood. And she is way more controllable.
I think she NEEDS TO BOOK. its like watching a Deer.. jumps up and tuens midair, and runs like 25mph. Wont come.. so i just go back inside and start cooking till she sneaks in for begging, then close the door.
And REWATD HER WITH A BITE AND CUDDLE "GOOD GIRL FOR COMING BACK IN.
but he wouldnt approve of guving her table food for one, and praise second for taling off
She had bad original parents. And they got her for the kids, who did not take her when they moved out. So she was loved, but not much interacted with.
But. Am i right on the dog food carbs?? Can it make a dog more hyper?
My friend has had dogs all 55 years of his life. Hunting, boating, trapping, going to work as a plummer. Always rescues or takeovers. And never has he had such a hard time getting to alpha in them.
She is also a trasher .. lol got to lock the trash bin inside. She wint donit when your looking, waits till you fall asleep. So i know she isnt "simple" i dont think costcof dog foods an issue for him, but im ready to soend what he pays me to care for her a few times a week on sirloins. Lol

  26. @Rhonda_Java on October 3, 2024 at 10:01 pm

So happy I came across this video. I started my new puppy on Open Farm no grain food (breeder was feeding Royal Cain) the Vet tried to convince me that grain food is best and I need to go back to Royal Cain 🤦🏾‍♀️. My baby is having no issues so I’ll continue feeding him grain free food.

  27. @mikeyy9073 on October 3, 2024 at 10:02 pm

See Matt 15 : 27 Niv bible . Dogs must have grains, or they will develop heart problems . Listen , just about everything you hear or read today , TV radio , internet is false there is no truth out there as a great man of God predicted for our modern times about 4000 yrs ago. See Isa 59 : 15 Niv bible . Also , you have to make an effort to find truth not just be lazy accept what others say who will lead you astray .

  30. @emalior5000 on October 3, 2024 at 10:08 pm

Didn’t even the fda say legumes were the link to dcm and not grain free. All the grain free brands added legumes instead of grains. So basically they replaced one cheap carb with another.

The vets and fda states foods high in legumes and potatoes may cause dcm. So isn’t the simple solution to remove legumes and potatoes but still keep it grain free.

No one has ever said it was the lack of grains that caused DCM. Very deceptive tactics by all involved.

  31. @geostorm9351 on October 3, 2024 at 10:08 pm

This is awesome information. Thank you for it. Can you do a video on garlic for dogs. Seems like there are different opinions on it but recent studies have been done that say garlic is good. Would be interesting to hear your take on it.

Why does Stella and chewey allow avocados in their ingredients? Is it safe?

  34. @biblebill6206 on October 3, 2024 at 10:11 pm

Dog food is plain garbage full of by- products devoid of calcium , laden with chemicals and grain free which is bad . Also raw diets are dangerous .

Please stop: most people do not report dog deaths to the FDA. To use "only xxxx were reported" as proof is disengenuos.

No one said that GF IS killing dogs. People are saying that anecdotal evidence is finding that rhere is an increased risk of DCM when a dog has been on a GF diet.

In addition, the link is likely to what they replaced the grains with: certain types of peas and lentils that limit taurine production.

My family has had three dogs die of DCM in 4 years (one was a boxer*) and one diagnosed (such good news for my mother on Valentine’s day, 2024). Bo*, Axle, Tikka have died. Bonnie is stage 4 DCM.

A fifth was found to have a heart murmur that went away when I was forced to change diets for other reasons.

All five were on grain-free diets.

In full disclosure, this is 4 pups that died of or were diagnosed with DCM out of 19 total dogs that were raised strictly on GF foods. Three are still living (one that had the vanishing heart murmur). The others died of cancer or infection. 4/15. That is 26%. *1 was of a breed that does have a possible genetic link, so 3/15. 20%.

Wow, just unreal. And Mars who bought Orijen and Acana will now lessen the quality of those foods and not tell the consumers.

  40. @kimberleymarkova3641 on October 3, 2024 at 10:16 pm

I have a female American Staffordshire/ Argentinian Dogo cross and a female Boxer cross who I cook for. They have Royal Canin puppy food kibble right now which they have access to 24/7, which they dont eat much of unless suddenly hungry. Two questions 1. Both my girls are under 2 years old, is it ok/healthier or the opposite to feed them the puppy (26 to 45kg adult weight) kibble? And 2. Vets in France say there should be no cereal in food given to dogs – is this correct?

  41. @SiobhanHarris-q9w on October 3, 2024 at 10:17 pm

I started my dog on grain free and she started having skin issues, I’m going back to grains as she never had an issue and she’s 8 years old

  42. @t-money2607 on October 3, 2024 at 10:19 pm

Do you have any reviews on Against The Grain Nothing Else! canned dog food?

  43. @poncho1710 on October 3, 2024 at 10:19 pm

I have my chihuahua brain free all his life and he had heart murmur since he was like 4. I continued til he was in heart failure at 11 and died. Then I find out with my second dog 2 years old has one also. Took him to another vet and she asked if he’s on grain free. I took him off grain free and hope it gets better. I feed him open farm dog kibble with ancient grains and cook chicken with veggies and rice on top.

  44. @biblebill6206 on October 3, 2024 at 10:21 pm

Dogs must have grains See Matt 15 : 27 Niv bible . Google recent studies about "do dogs need grains "

  45. @niteblaster1 on October 3, 2024 at 10:21 pm

Peas, beans, pea starch, legumes, potatoes and sweet potatoes have replaced the grains as the carbohydrate in most dog foods. These block the function of taurine. Taurine deficiency and dilated cardiomyopathy
Dogs do not need peas and potatoes in their diet
Dogs have been eating grains for over 23,000 years
My dog is 11 year old and can run eight miles at 10mph
She eats chicken beef vitamins and cod liver oil
And a small amount of iams puppy
    Don’t go with food fads
Don’t touch anything that says meat and animal derivatives
Because the food will have come from rendering plants that take in euthanized pets and anything dead including diseased and fallen stock
It’s not very complicated to feed your dog
Don’t understand why people can’t figure it out for themselves

  47. @k.q.6701 on October 3, 2024 at 10:21 pm

Thank you so much for this! I recently took my dog to the vet and told her that my pup has had issues with her glands … her vet informed me that it’s because I feed my dog Stella and chewy that is grain free… and highly encouraged me to switch to either Hills science , Royal canine, Purina.. etc… She tried explaining that other kibble that is grain free is linked with dilated cardiomyopathy and instilled so much fear!

  48. @Doxboi on October 3, 2024 at 10:22 pm

So Orijen Grain Free is okay or not? I cant sit this long, I have to walk my dogs.

  49. @LVA22-y1m on October 3, 2024 at 10:26 pm

When I learned that the CEO of Pfizer is a veterinarian, and that the vaccines for dogs and cats have been using mRNA technology (non disclosed) it wasn’t that hard to put two and two together. We have no way to find out what’s in our pets’ vaccines, and when I asked about it, I got tremendous anger from the vet. I do make my own cat and dog food.
