Brand New Eco-friendly Dog Food Packaging For Sustainable Living
Staying true to one of our core values, innovation, we are switching to a more sustainable food packaging solution. A massive step towards our ambitious sustainability goals. https://www.bellaandduke.com/press-release/innovative-food-packaging-release Learn more in our blog.
We are determined to significantly reduce our carbon footprint over the next few years, a vital part of this is changing our food packaging material.
We are switching to the most widely recycled material in the UK, you would also find this material in your drinks bottles and supermarket meat packets.
This new packaging allows us to reduce our plastic usage by 60%. It is sourced entirely in the UK too. This means we are reducing our packaging transport miles by 97% and reducing the number of trucks supplying our packaging by 90%
The final tray is fully recyclable and is made from recycled material too.

I hope these new packs do not crack. I had 2 cracked ones again this time making 9 cracked ones altogether. I look forward then to the new boxes. The cracks were sometimes so small I didnt see them until the blood from the thawed packs had run over other things in the fridge!!🥵 so not nice at all!!
Step in the right direction! Thanks very much!
Can fully understand why you are trying to change the packaging to something more environmentally friendly HOWEVER how am I supposed to keep it safely in the fridge now? At the moment the meat comes in white plastic tubs with white plastic lids that keep it safe in the fridge between meals but what do I do with this new packaging? Am I expected to provide my own sealable tub to keep unused food in.?
I would not previously buy Bella and Duke because of the packaging, so pleased to see this move.
This is great news and now another great reason to continue with this wonderful product, well done Bella and Duke !!! the hard plastic tubs have always seemed such a waste of material and production costs. I assume with such reduction and savings on transport, miles and packaging, and now being sourced within the UK this will also be reflected in the cost to us the customers.
Can this then be placed in the recycling, along with other plastic? As we place the current white plastic in our recycling and it is accepted in Surrey
Hey just had my first order arrived and had a mix of white tubs and these ones, unfortunately quite a few of this new design were broken and open whereas the white tubs were fine. Wasn’t an issue until we came to defrost them them liquid leakage was an issue particularly as I have 5 dogs so have to defrost multiple ones at a time.
No thank you, one package lasts me for two days, how do I seal the carton in the fridge? Please go back to the white boxes.
