Hi Doc, I have a question. My dog has a tooth infection and I bought a bottle of propolis extract, but it also has colloidal silver and eucalyptus. Are these ingredients safe? I intend to spray his gum with it.

    Thank you in advance!

Can you use these on cats also?

I use to brush my little dogs teeth As she got older it got harder and harder. She would fight me on that and clipping her nails. I’ve tried rubbing the coconut oil but she wouldn’t let me in her mouth. A few weeks ago I thought she was having problems with her ears so I was treating her for an infection like I saw in one of your videos. She did get better but was still droopy. Then a few days later we found a tooth 🦷 Looked liked a back tooth. It was kinda big. It looked really bad like a rock 🪨 now wonder she was feeling so sick. She started feeling much better after that tooth came out. I felt so bad😢 She never would let me look in her mouth to see what tooth it was. Hopefully she will let me do the green tea and honey to her gums. Thank you for these videos ❤

I appreciate the fact that these are all preventive measures but when your dog actively has tartar build up and you can’t get in their mouth at all, is there ANYTHING we can do at home? The local Vet is $500 for a teeth cleaning and my wife and I are not working much right now. We were also in an accident with each other. Long story and insurance didn’t help. If your married it’s now covered. So that wiped our savings out to fix one car and get another used one. Just things are so expensive now. I really need to get my Chihuahuas teeth done. I give him dog treats every night that are supposed to clean tartar but it’s not working

Where do we get these products from? I already have green tea and coconut oil but I need the right kind of honey and the other two products that I never heard of.

  13. @billiehicks1864 on October 3, 2024 at 9:50 pm

I’m confused how something like honey loaded with sugar that feeds plaque can help elimate plaque? I’m skeptical about that one.

After having my 11 lb Yorkie have many teeth pulled I’ve been brushing them daily. I’ve been told it’s actually not good to do so often because it removes the enamel. He does let me brush so that’s good. Is that true about enamel and frequently brushing them. Tia. You’re awesome.

You don’t want to give Plaque Off to a cat that is hypothyroid? Hyperthyroid, surely?

  28. @oliverorange21 on October 3, 2024 at 10:03 pm

Plaque off works. I had an older dog never had any dental work or cleaning.. I applied this and it took the plaque off, she never had to go to the dentist.

  32. @billiehicks1864 on October 3, 2024 at 10:06 pm

Well upon further investigation it does appear that honey can help with your teeth so I guess I stand corrected 🤯 who would’ve thought but im sure its only the highest quality of honey that works and Id reckon doing it more than once a day may be too much. But ill say its nice being wrong sometimes cause alot of things I wish I was wrong about are not fun things to know, think and worry about lol!Im gonna try it myself and see cause my teeth are healthy but my gums have always been more of a problem. Thanks for the surprising info ❤ and sorry for being so blunt and outspoken 😂 but hey I can admit when Im wrong respectfully and we need more people to not be afraid to speak out anyway so Ill risk looking dumb all day every day if something doesnt make sense to me😂

  33. @alexayounginsong2641 on October 3, 2024 at 10:07 pm

    1. rub with fingers over the gum line with Aloe Vera liquid morning at night
    2. rub with finger over the gum line with coconut oil
    3. spray propolis especially at the back of the mouth
    4. "plaque off"
    5. squart liquid of (green tea + honey) to the teeth

continue 2~3 months to see the differences( ??? )

  34. @nancienordwick4169 on October 3, 2024 at 10:08 pm

Dogs that don’t like teeth brushing dont like any of these actions either.

  35. @anner5594 on October 3, 2024 at 10:08 pm

Thanks for all the great info. BUT…. I just looked up if aloe is safe for dogs and Google states that it is mildly toxic to poisonous. So before trying that ingredient, your viewers should do more research. The coconut oil is great. The plaque powder is just 100% kelp powder, that’s good too. The spray is great for dental issues too! I might buy that.

I’m currently trying the Jasper 360° finger toothbrush that’s 100% silicone and Radius organic pet dental gel. The gel contains coconut oil, kelp, fennel, pink salt, cinnamon, papaya, thyme… That’s will naturally help their teeth and gums.

  36. @Increase315 on October 3, 2024 at 10:10 pm

my yorkie is 3. he won’t let me brush his teeth but he loves carrots. i’ll try putting coconut oil on his food and treats

  37. @cynthiahon7466 on October 3, 2024 at 10:11 pm

What about rubbing manuka honey on gums instead of propolis?

  38. @bonniedavis9076 on October 3, 2024 at 10:14 pm

Vet has a nice voice. Should be doing voice overs

  39. @LW-zj3bm on October 3, 2024 at 10:15 pm

I give my dogs raw beef bones. They like it when the butcher slices the knuckle bones into 1.5" wedges best…. They chew & chew & their teeth gleam! I got a rescue dog that had brown & yellow teeth & within 2 weeks he had beautiful white teeth. His gums took a month or so before they started looking pink & healthy, but it worked! The doggos luv it!!!🐶

  40. @JML542 on October 3, 2024 at 10:16 pm

@Dr.Jones, what do you think of Leba 111?

  41. @billiehicks1864 on October 3, 2024 at 10:17 pm

Why does it always seem like im the only one questioning information that doesnt add up? I dont have a problem with this guy seems like a genuinely good intentioned vet…but regardless if something doesn’t pass the logic and critical thinking test Ill be the 1st to mention it! I guess someones gotta do it seeing as how most everyone else wont. People really need to think more before they just follow. If there were linked studies that I read and could approve of then ok maybe but cmon rubbing sugar on teeth …really???Just seems like the worst option to use. Ill admit maybe it is good for the gums but if its bad for the teeth than its counter productive.

  42. @patty1509 on October 3, 2024 at 10:22 pm

Thank you for all your advice and natural remedies in caring for our dogs. Vet visits are expensive these days and not everyone can afford it. I love that there are better and natural ways to care for our furry friend’s dental and overall health. So thank you so much! 😊🐶💕

I was wondering what is the actual bee glue product you use in the video? It looks like Beekeepers something. What formula is it?

  44. @arlenecarper3064 on October 3, 2024 at 10:23 pm

😅I use decaffeinated everything so use the green tea!

  45. @jorgemeza5031 on October 3, 2024 at 10:24 pm

Oh God don’t steep the tea longer then 3 to 4 min. To avoid it becoming bitter 😭 you and your dogs will appreciate

  46. @CobraDove1111 on October 3, 2024 at 10:24 pm

Anesthesia of your pet to do a dental procedure?? What planet am I on? You don’t need to do any of this if you put your pet on the meat diet raw food meat diet that he is supposed to be eating! If you feed yourself power bars of course you’re going to be sick and have disgusting teeth. Pets are the same. Feeding them process kibble are going to make their coat smell and their teeth disgusting. I feed my dog an all raw food diet with chicken feet and chicken necks to chew on raw bones clean their teeth! You don’t need to do any of that. Man, pet food companies really have people in doctrinated that they have to do all this crap instead of just feeding their dog what they’re supposed to be eating

  47. @RLeeVanCamps on October 3, 2024 at 10:25 pm

I use a cotton makeup pad you can wipe my dogs teeth. Then a dab if coconut oil on each side 😊😊

  48. @nallaradhikap on October 3, 2024 at 10:26 pm

Do we use all of these products or pick one of them?

  49. @lendahofer9750 on October 3, 2024 at 10:27 pm

It takes time for your dog to start letting you brush their teeth but they eventually let you brush them. When I first started to brush my dogs teeth I couldn’t even brush one tooth! He wouldn’t let me! If you want to brush your dogs teeth don’t start out with a toothbrush. The way I did it was like this…
-I took a small peice of clothe and made it wet & wrapped it around my fingers and tried to brush my dogs teeth with it & praised her if I got even one tooth. Maybe I didn’t even brush her teeth with it the first couple of times and just played around in her mouth because I couldn’t even clean one tooth with it at first.. but I was eventually able to brush her teeth with it.
-I added a cocanut mixture to the clothe eventually
-Once she got used to that I started to use a dogtoothbrush or a soft bristled toothbrush. (It’s important for it to be soft bristled.) (If the dog won’t accept this yet then try a finger toothbrush and then this.) I put the cocanut mixture on my toothbrush and brushed her teeth with it. At first I couldn’t get all the teeth. I may even have just played around in her mouth with it the first couple of times. I kept doing this everyday. Slowly but surely I was able to brush more and more of her teeth.
-It took months or weeks for me to be able to brush all of her teeth. Now I’m able to brush all of them and I used to be able to brush none.
*Dogs also have to get used to the toothpaste that you will be using to brush their teeth with. My dog hated some types of toothpastes so much that I couldn’t brush her teeth with it. She loves the cocanut mixture I used though.

When I first started to brush my dogs teeth it would take forever! Now it only takes about 5 minutes.
It’s totally worth brushing your dogs teeth! If I don’t brush them she gets gingivitus! But if I keep brushing them everyday with dog toothpaste the gingivitus doesn’t show up!
