My poodle female just stretches out to get the treat that was offered inside her crate and when she does go all the way inside but wont even stay there for a second. I tried multiple corners from the crate (rectangular single door crate) she does interact with it when she gets her toys and drinks water but she never sleeps inside it. I just don’t want to force her inside the crate because I think that will just make her hate the crate. Please help me I don’t know what to do and it’s my first time owning a puppy and I got her 4 months old.

What do you do with the puppy at night when they are still new to crate training??

  5. @MrIndrajit22 on October 3, 2024 at 9:33 pm

How about a leash? Instead of a crate? Crate are expensive here and my puppy would be travelling with me and staying in various places as she grows old. What are the options

You mean a cage? Call it what it is. If you trick your animal to get into it then it’s classified as a snare

How do you train a 5 month old golden retriever that the previous owner kept it locked for majority of the time and now its hard for the new owner (my gf and i) to crate train it because its already traumatized by being kept in the crate by the past owner?

Getting our first puppy. Aussie Shepherd. Can more than one family member train the puppy? Or will that confuse them. My 19 yr old may spoil her where I’m interested in a well trained dog. Thank you in advance! Great videos!

  29. @daniellewienecke3952 on October 3, 2024 at 10:11 pm

Aannnddd… you lost me at crates are not for every dog.. they are a 100% a requirement for EVERY dog. For their safety… for vet visits.. for emergency’s.. if you don’t crate train you are being irresponsible. If your dog does freak out in the crate (they need a little more training).. if they hurt themselves trying to get out of the crate or manage to get out of the crate.. there are a ton of different types of crates that can prevent this!

HELP!!! I have a 12 week old Boston Terrier ( the 5th one I’ve had over the last 40 years) she is a high energy dog most of the time and I had been letting her nap though out the day on the sofa with me. Over the last several weeks she has exhibited this Tasmania Devil behavior after her 7-8 p.m.nap on the couch. I will take her out to pee after the nap and as soon as she gets back into the den she goes NUTS and bites and won’t settle down. I will give her a time out in the crate and sometimes she will calm down and sometimes she will pee in the crate( she’s doing fairly well with potty training outside most days). I am at my wits end she bites and growls when I try to pick her up during this meltdown but I pick her up anyway and take her to the crate. I was recently told that the only way to stop this was to make her nap in the crate every day 3 or 4 times a day.. THat sounds great but she won’t nap very long in a crate vs napping for a hour or so on the couch with me several times a day. So I don’t see how that will solve her overtiredness. I was told she’s overtired and that until she naps in a crate this behavior will not stop. What is your opinion of this and do you have any advice. She sleep beautifully in the bed with us at night and usually goes out 1 time during the night to pee. I try to exercise her several times a day but going outside to run around isn’t doable this time a year except early in the day since it is VERY hot here. She has had 2 rounds of vaccinations and I would like to socialize her with another vaccinated dog that belongs to my daughter…do you think this would help and is it ok to socaialize her a little now ? She bites my feet a lot and hands sometimes but that is getting a bit better now. HELP !!!

We have had the dog for one day he goes in and out of the crate he seems to like it, but when I latched it close last night, I let him cry for 30 minutes straight before I went downstairs and slept with him on the couch which is infront of his area

  33. @Reyted_R on October 3, 2024 at 10:15 pm

Liked that…however, when I bought a collpasible crate, before I put in my 8-week old puppy Panda I let him smelled his meal and put it inside the crate and while he was eating I closed it in…Voila! he loved it..hehehehe

I brought my miniature Jack Russell home two days ago. It was a an hours journey and a trip to a pet store to pick up a few bits. When we got home he played for about 15 minutes then he went into his crate by himself and fell asleep. He went to bed at 10 pm and slept until 6am which was fabulous. However last night wasn’t so good. I ended up sleeping on the sofa with him as he just cried when I put him in the crate. He doesn’t like the door being closed but I have to close it at night to keep him same. Also every time I came into the sitting room my husband had him sitting on his chest sleeping. I told him he will ruin him allowing him to do this while we are trying to crate train him. Should I let him cry in the cage, I feel that if I do he won’t go in it on his own anymore

  36. @holycowrap on October 3, 2024 at 10:19 pm

what about putting a doggy bed in the crate? Should I leave it empty in case of accidents?

  37. @bobdonoian7988 on October 3, 2024 at 10:19 pm

We we are having issues with our puppy going one and two in the crate ? She’s only 4 pounds and three months old . Told to get a smaller crate . Do you agree?

  38. @JakePrado-ij8eu on October 3, 2024 at 10:21 pm

This video was more sales pitch and less education.

  39. @anthonysermons7187 on October 3, 2024 at 10:21 pm

I dont think the crate is working for mine, they say dogs dont pee where they sleep, mine does and when we take her out she pees and poops but still pees and craps in the house. The seller told us to take her out the crate and take her right outside, we stand out there for 2 hours and she goes but when she’s back inside she still goes there too
